Damien Fox lived up to his name.
Cunning, sly, and dangerous, fifty percent of Vegas’ strip clubs were his.
Whatever he wanted, money, attention, women, he got.
And now he wanted to buy my bar, no matter the cost.
I wanted him to go to hell on a first-class ticket.
He played a dirty game, and I followed his rules. I let him think he would win.
Despite our differences, it was clear to see that we were no more than two broken hearts colliding in the darkness.
Closed off, sexy, and holding a pain that would crush a lesser man, he was the ultimate sin.
One I couldn’t deny myself, even though I knew better than to trust a fox...
(SIN is book one of the Vegas Nights series. Each book in this series is a standalone novel.)
From the first page of Sin, I felt hooked. Damien and Dahlia were ON FIRE. From their sassy, sarcastic banter to their absolutely singe-worthy sex scenes they burned the pages of my kindle. And I most definitely loved their feisty dynamic and fell in love with their sweet romance as it unfolded one page at a time.
4 “Yes. This.” Stars.
I have been a fan of Emma Hart for a long time! I find her books funny and sexy, consistently sharp with wit and humor and fun storylines that always keep me on my toes. When I saw the cover of Sin, and read the blurb, I knew that this was another Emma Hart book I wanted to read. Immediately, I felt the excitement of what was to come, and so, when Sin hit my kindle, I started reading! From the first page, I felt hooked. Damien and Dahlia were ON FIRE. From their sassy, sarcastic banter to their absolutely singe-worthy sex scenes they burned the pages of my kindle. And I most definitely loved their feisty dynamic and fell in love with their sweet romance as it unfolded one page at a time.
Damien Fox is an enigma, a business man no one seem’s to know much about. Described as ruthless and cunning, manipulative and dangerous, he has his sights set on Dahlia, and her bar–The Scarlet Letter. Dahlia just inherited The Scarlet Letter from her father who passed away, however, she’s been quietly helping to run it for years. And simply put, she’s not looking to sell! To anyone. But of course, Damien Fox is not a man who takes no as an answer and thus, the relentless pursuit to get what he wants ensues, and man, of man! It’s delicious. Once Damien gets closer to Dahlia, he can’t get enough. And even though Dahlia can’t really stand Damien, she finds that there’s a little more to the asshole than meets the eye.
Sin is a fun, sexy story with what I would consider light angst. One of the things Emma’s so good at is dialogue. Her characters are so quick-witted you cannot help but laugh and shake your head at their antics. In Sin we have that in spades, along with some amusing supporting characters that add depth to a very sweet story.
Overall, I liked it. I loved the dynamic between the main characters and I really did think the story was good. I’m interested to see where the next standalone–Lust–goes. And I’m definitely still a mega Emma Hart fan!
About the Author
By day, New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to two beautiful little monsters. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of whatever she fancies—usually wine—and writes books.
Emma is working on Top Secret projects she will share with her followers and fans at every available opportunity. Naturally, all Top Secret projects involve a dashingly hot guy who likes to forget to wear a shirt, a sprinkling (or several) of hold-onto-your-panties hot scenes, and a whole lotta love.
She likes to be busy—unless busy involves doing the dishes, but that seems to be when all the ideas come to life.
