He's my most delicious secret.
The hot Suit I had a one-night stand with one evening.
I didn't know anything about him, not even his name.
Only that we shared a taxi, and he was staying at the hotel where I worked.
We met in room 1103. Where he commanded not only my body but my soul.
The next day he was gone and I only had a memory of him.
I could still taste his kisses, feel his demanding touch.
I searched for him for months. Daydreaming about him. Wondering if I'd ever find him.
Until the day I find myself staring face to face with his jeweled black eyes again.
He says lets keep it casual, and my heart knows that falling for this workaholic in a three-thousand-dollar suit is off the table.
Because he has a secret. One that's a deal breaker for me.
My Suit has a name.
Ian Ford.
And this is our story.*Mogul contains characters from Tycoon, but is written to be read as a standalone.
It’s here. Mogul is finally her for us to read. Gah, I cannot even wait for you guys to dive into this book. Sweet and sexy, light and flirty, but still sprinkled with the perfect amount of angst, Ian and Sara are going to ROCK YOUR WORLD. 4.5 “OMG. YES.” Stars!
Katy Evans has always been and will always be a “drop everything and read” author for me. I love the way she tells a story, love the way she writes her heroes, which are always so masculine and sexy and delicious. I’m obsessed with her characters, the way they see the world, the way her men love their woman, the way they treat them like the queens they are, and Ian in Mogul is EVERYTHING. Smitten with Sara immediately, the push and pull between these two is more than intoxicating, more than heart-pounding, it’s all the things I love about a Katy Evans romance. She pulls you in, keeps you on the edge, and steals your heart from the beginning to the end.
Mogul is a standalone that ties into Tycoon. Both can be read by themselves, however, there is cross over between the two books. In Mogul we see Aaric and Bryn again (tosses confetti), and I absolutely love that. Bryn happens to be Sara’s roommate. Mogul starts of hot hot hot with Sara and her one night stand Ian! These two are like comets, colliding and exploding! Scorchingly hot, the heavy chemistry is downright juicy. Sara is a concierge at The Ritz and Ian is a business man who comes and stays there often. I could not get enough of the back and forth between these two, loved the way they fought their attraction and attachment until they couldn’t anymore. Ian is a man with some baggage, definitely trying to get over a betrayal, and reading him with Sara was so sweet and intense. I loved it.
Overall, Mogul is a light romance. There is angst, but it’s not crazy. Katy peppers the heart-aching moments with lots of steamy goodness and dialogue that’s guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. A one sitting read, this heartfelt story will leave you feeling happy, and I think Katy Evans fans will be quite pleased. She brings MAJOR heat to this one, along with some playful banter and flirty scenes that have your heart skipping in bliss. I more than love it. And I can’t ever get enough of Katy’s heroes. They’re simply the best. I highly recommend Mogul to anyone who loves to be wooed, to be romanced. This is one heck of a swoony novel from start to finish.
Excerpt
I can hardly take the flames in his eyes.
With his free hand, he hails a taxi, and when it stops before us, he opens the door for me.
I know what’s happening, and I want it to happen so much that I quickly climb into the back of the cab.
Ian climbs in behind me.
“Where to?” the driver asks.
“The nearest five-star hotel you can find.” Ian looks at me with a frown.
“Four stars will do just fine,” I add urgently, and Ian’s frown turns to a look of interest. He grabs my waist and drags me toward him, and before I can take another breath, he’s got his hands—oh, gosh, his hands—on me, and he’s shoving his tongue into my mouth, and oh crap,I hadn’t been hallucinating. My memory didn’t fail me. In fact, it failed only in the sense that I didn’t remember the exact way he tasted, kissed, but what I never forgot was that it was heart-stopping, toe-curling, panty-melting, and a little bit soul-wrenching—the way he eats at my mouth, the hunger and the latent passion there. I didn’t remember that he was this irresistible.
My panties are soaked, and my lungs are working overtime trying to find a breath. I grab the back of his head as aggressively as he’s grabbing mine and push back at his tongue. Ian drops his head to nibble and bite at my neck when I drag my lips to kiss and lick his ear. And, as New York passes by the window, we cling to each other like we will never have another chance.
